After 30 years playing the guitar, rather to accompany songs or to compose, and start learning the oud (I finally gave up), I thought the shamisen could play the soundtrack of my current life. Family ties with Japan have finally convinced me . And this is where it all began . The joy and discovery of a new teacher, annoyance too, because forced to play right (I’m left-handed) , back to the left side (but for having almost killed my shamisen I decided to come back in the right path) that’s where I am now after three years of shamisen practice. For now I think minyo will be my next burden. Anyway Bachido is for me a source of happiness and discovery (and trouble sometimes). Glad to meet you all… Patrick
