Hello, I was in Japan for work and had decided to purchase a shamisen and so I started to do some homework and came across Kyle Abbott on You Tube. I had enough information from him to where I was able to buy a descent one in Fukuoka with help from my cousin Hiroko who I had a chance to visit and meet while on some of my off time in Japan. From there I traveled to Sapporo Hokkaido where I met up with my other cousin Mitsuya. He introduced me to Nitta Hiroshi who just so happened to be the father of Nitta Masahiro ( what a coincidence) ! Anyways I received a lesson from him and now here I am looking for ways to improve my shamisen skills.
