I just noticed that there’s an issue with the Tsugaru Jonkara Bushi (Kyu) lesson in Part 2, Techniques. In the PDF at bar 16 it shows the notes being played on the 3rd string. However, in the video the notation shows these notes on the 2nd string. Kyle also plays these notes on the 2nd string. My guess is that the PDF is wrong and needs to be fixed.
Hello Josh, I also have read the notations for Tsugaru Jonkara Bushi (Kyu) and I also have noticed that problem. My geuss is that Kyle probably changed it for different flavors to the song. Some shamisen players do that sometimes for a variety of that particular song.
